Horses and Huskies is a small ranch in the middle of the Andes Mountains at 1500 meters above sea level. It can be reached from Argentina and also from Chile as it is conveniently situated 3km from the international border between the two countries.
By Road: Horses and Huskies is situated 49km from the closest town of Las Lajas on the National 242 road, and 3km from the international border crossing with Chile ‘Pino Hachado Pass’.
By Air: Our closest airport in Argentina is in Neuquén City, 300km from Horses and Huskies. Another airport is Chapelco in St Martin de los Andes, around 300km away. Also, on the Chilean-side is Temuco Airport 210km away. Transfers can be arranged, it is also possible to hire cars at the airports or take a bus.
By Bus: Argentina has an extensive bus network, with buses from all over the country stopping at Neuquén Capital. From Neuquén buses go to the local town of Las Lajas. There is also an international bus service which goes to and from Temuco, Chile but guests can get off at the border crossing on it’s way through. From St Martin de los Andes, buses go to Zapala (100km from Horses and Huskies).
